Hi, and welcome to my little page. My name is Jill, and I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, teacher, and (apparently) a wood worker. Ask me even 5 years ago if I saw myself holding power tools and working with wood, I might have laughed at you. I didn’t grow up around them, but here we are, proof that you can learn new skills even when you’re “old”.

I went to university for eons, it felt like, and came out with a B.Sc and a B.Ed and most certainly thought that was the direction for my entire life. Don’t get me wrong, I love teaching. I love working with students, young adults, and helping them learn new things. I love working with kids who have struggled, and showing them they CAN do it. But life works in funny little ways, doesn’t it, and for the 2022/23 school year, I made the scary decision to quit full time teaching and work on this business instead. It allowed me the flexibility to be more available to my two young children, and also give me some breathing space and time to destress after many years of feeling a little burnt out.

Let me tell you - I think I made the right decision. I LOVE working on this business, I love interacting with you all, and I love being creative. I love seeing your ideas, and how I can make them come to life. I suprise myself over and over, and pinch myself when I see a completed project. So thank you for supporting me, my dream, and my family. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or requests.
